PING Heppler Fetch Putter

Heppler Tomcat putter .....but

I absolutely love this putter and would recommend it to anyone BUT in six months the paint job is not standing up very well - it is starting to look tacky! This is not a cheap putter and, believe me, it is not a disappointing addition to my G425 bag but the paint job?

Point and Shoot!

I have been a putter "ho" for many years. Have had dalliances with them all. Blades, mallets, center shaft, face balanced, major toe hang, partial toe hang, you name it. Was in a golf shop, and as usual stroked a couple of new putters. I wasn't really looking for a new putter, but the Tomcat 14 seemed to line up very easily for me. I was curious and did return a week later to see if the "magic" was still there, or if I was just smitten by another mistress that would leave me in a few rounds. It worked! Our greens have a lot of slope and undulation. My lag putting has improved 100% in speed and line. Have had many rounds since with very few 3 putt holes. The Tomcat really suits my eye and for me, is very easy to aim intuitively. Only four star issue is that the adjustable shaft is smaller in diameter, and it initially felt somewhat whippy. That said, I have rarely ever putted as well, so I'm not changing anything! I'm sold.

I can putt again

I use to use only Ping putters when I started playing. I had a Pal 4 that was my bread and butter putter. Over time I started to fade on it and picked up a SC putter that I was attached to mostly because of the name. The ability to adjust the grip to a desired length was the icing on the cake. I can dial in to the exact position that is not only comfortable, but puts me in the correct position to look down at the ball and the line. I totally recommend these Ping putters any golfer looking to customize the length and find the right line.

Great feeling Tomcat 14

I purchased this Heppler Tomcat to replace a 29 year old putter. I like the feel of the club when its adjusted to it's shorter length. I also believe it's helping me line up my putts better. You can't go wrong with the PING. I'm starting the process to get fitted for a new set of PING G425 clubs. My Heppler was delivered about two weeks ago, I have hit a few dozen putts on the practice green. I can't wait to put it in play next summer!

My New Favorite Putter

Since losing my very old fashioned putter that I've had since childhood my putting had gone to the dogs. I tried different putters with all wonderful reputations, but the golf ball still refused to go in the hole. Then the golf professional at our club suggested this Ping Heppler putter so I bought it. The feel, the grip, how it looks when I look down the shaft at the ball are just a few reasons for this.

Love - hate

Putter head was fantastic - easy to line up and sink...I give that part 5 stars. The shaft - 1 star. Not sure if I got a defective product, but I could feel/hear a click and flexing in the grip. Wish there was an option without the adjustable shaft.

Best putter I have ever used!

Went to GG in Christiana, DE and spent about 90 minutes with Michael, first gathering data on my stroke and putter at that time, then trying 5-6 new putters. I putted for over an hour and kept coming back to the PING Heppler. Timeless Classic

- Clean lines - Great weighting - Adjustable grip was nice for initial fitting - Only took one star off for the actual grip. Not a huge fan of the texture or the graphics on it.

The balance of the putter is great!

I have had the putter for about eight week and have play twenty-four round with it. The balance and the feel are excellent. The got the Ping over sized grip on it and really completed the putter for me. The feel gives me a lot of confidence in getting the correct speed on many longer putts. The putter also has a great looks. The price is very reasonable for the quality of the putter.

Unexpected Purchase-and that’s a good thing!

Went to purchase a putter with an open mind and came away with the Heppler Fetch! I tried everything and this one totally shocked me. The feel and sound are fantastic (I usually prefer inserts), and the set up is easy and the sight lines seem to really fit my eye. I love the adjustability and the weight really seems to work for me. Very pleasantly surprised, thanks Ping.

Wow...terrific putter

I bought the Heppler Fetch after messing around with putters while buying some balls. Never intended to buy a new putter, but I just had to after trying it. I didn't even realize that the grip was height adjustable until I was checking out. I also didn't realize that the circular hole in the putter head was designed to grip a ball so that you can pick them up without bending down… read more ( hence the name Fetch). Pretty cool design features. The bronze and black color is beautiful and glare free.The only negative is the headcover. Very attractive but the hinge on the flap is too stiff, and the tab on the receiving side bends into the hole in the putter. Customer service sent me a replacement which is a bit better, but I'll probably just get an aftermarket one. I would buy this putter again even eithout a headcover. Great design Ping!

I upgraded my putter this year. I originally was looking for a straight back club but this felt pure from the start and naturally rocked back and forth. Have drained multiple 50's this year (all luck) but nonetheless I still felt good behind the ball.

Great feel and alignment

Replaced an old putter after some 20 years. This heppler Tomcat 14 is great. My putting succes and confidence has improved greatly.

Excellent Putter

Purchased a Tomcat 14 after witnessing a fellow golfer sink almost every putt. Especially like the adjustable grip and feel. Ergonomically designed to fit in the palm of the hand. Great value!

Really like the look and feel

Had an original Anser for the last 10 years and loved it but was time for a change. The Heppler is a bit heavier and I love it. Still gotta get it to the hole!!

The ZB3 is not only the best performing putter I have ever had, but also is the most attractive. I appreciate the old school simplicity in combination with the innovative adjustable shaft. This putter is a winner!

Love the Tomcat 14

6 rounds now with the Tomcat and under 30 putts each round - usually 32-34. Difference is improved alignment and confidence from inside 8 feet and improved distance control due to high MOI. Takes some getting used to if you are used to a blade but worth the switch!

Best Putter Feel

I supplemented my Tyne putter with the Heppler Fetch. The deciding factor was the smooth milled face. This feature gives the putter a bit more ball speed and an incredible amount of feel, something that I appreciate on those touchy sensitive putts. So now I have two excellent putters I can switch between depending upon conditions. Nice to have options.

I received my custom fit Floki putter. I have been using it for 3 weeks and am extremely happy.

Super putter

After trying 4 different putters all blades and 35 inches long. I struggled to get something that suited my stroke. This putter is by far the best golf investment I've made, adjustable length and easy to line up and swing on the right path. After being a 2 putter or even 3, it's taken easily 12 strokes of my game.

Love this putter

It is more accurate than myself, and retrieves the ball easily from the hole or allows the ball to be scooped off the turf.

Balance and weight feel right

I am very happy with my local course professional and club fitter: with Sycamore Golf Course in North Manchester, IN. He gave me very good advise and counsel when approaching the putting process. He had multiple putters and we found this Ping Heppler to fit my needs. Practice is continuing.

I bought a Ping Ketsch putter several years ago and loved it. Like many, I have tried other brands and models and none have come close to the accuracy and distance control the Ketsch offered. After many years, the face insert had too many dings and cuts from playing in less than great courses. I looked at the new Ketsch mallet and it was just as the one I had. Almost Perfect

I bought the Heppler Floki last season and like it very much. The only issue I have with it is on longer putts it feels like the inner adjustable shaft is loose so it feels as if the head is moving on the follow through. I contacted Ping and they said to take it back to a Ping rep to have it shipped back to the factory for review.

The putter is very confidence-building. Keeps the line easy to hold, remains true to the plane and makes very solid contact. Especially helpful on shorter putts. Face, top and bottom of the head have bare metal where the black paint has come off. While I keep it in the provided putter cover, it still shows too much wear. I expected better quality paint from Ping on a top-line putter.

Visual aid for declining vision

I bought this after my ping fittings at granite falls. My sight is worsening and the front to back white stripes, along with multi colored head has helped maintain stroke alignment with direction alignment.

Solid putter

Went in looking to purchase the Anser 2, but the Fetch caught my eye. I love the weight and balanced feel of this putter. Immediately noticed an improvement on the greens; very happy with this purchase.

Typical Ping Quality

Very well balanced and easy to fit with the adjustable shaft. Great visual when aligning a putt.

Great Investment

I've been using a Ping Anser II for years but realized I needed a face-balanced putter with the benefit of current technology. The Fetch has dramatically improved my putting result and increased my confidence standing over putts.

Customizable, a differentiator ..

I've been buying putters pretty regularly since I broke my Yes! Callie. The Heppler has great feel as I'm better able to feel the stroke needed for our usually slow greens in Hawaii. I often feel like we're putting on molasses, especially Paspalum greens which are becoming more pervasive. The putter broke after 2 months. Given a demo with a grip that wasn't aligned whilst my putter went for repair. Still waiting 3 months later...........

Love the feel and adjustment feature.

I experimented with a variety of putters before settling on the Ping Heppler. I love the feel and the weight. Disappointed

I bought the Heppler Fetch after having used the Sigma2 Tyne 4 for a summer. My wife like the Sigma2 so much that it ended up in her bag. So I bought a Heppler. After only 3 rounds, the bottom plate popped off. Very disappointed. Not sure if/when I’ll buy another Ping putter.

Love the heavier weighted head

I prefer a heavier weighted head and this putter is just perfect. The heavier weight and overall feel of the putter remind me that I can focus on an easy, controlled stroke.

New Putter Wahoo !

So glad I splurged on my new Ping Heppler Tyne 3 ! In the past Ive never treated myself to such a fine putter because of cost concerns . The putter is just about perfect . With the extension all the way out the shaft has a bit of a whippy feel . Actually going to replace shaft with a fixed 36 inch shaft in the spring .

BEYOND BELIEF.....REALLY!!

I can not oversell the Tomcat 14 Heppler Putter by Ping. Over the course of 2 months, my putting has gone to a new level. I have always used Ping products and recently acquired the new Heppler Tyne 3 putter . I love the look and feel of this putter, however I’m disappointed in that I sent it back to Ping in South Africa as the shaft had come loose from the head ?? Adjustable length mechanism is awesome feature!

Putting struggles made it time for a new look. My desired stroke is straight back but leans more to straight with slight arc and “Senior twitchy”. Extensive research led me to the Tomcat 14. I had n Anser 30 or 40 years ago then switched over to Scotty Cameron Pro Platinum.I traded in a Scotty Newport 2-the one with the insert- for the Heppler Anser blade putter. Making way more putts

Bought 2 months ago. We're getting along great. Make 6 footers effortlessly and convert twice as many in the 6 to 12 foot range. Takeaway is much more stable than with my old blade style. Helps you see the line better, and stays online really well. Lags are much tighter too

tried this putter at my local course on the putting green and i couldn't believe the balance, feel and the feedback coming back through this putter putt after putt. For me a definite confidence feel good putter in the bag. All i got to do now is pay for the putter,,,
