Just received my Apex 21 DCB Irons and once again Callaway Preowned did a GREAT job. I have reached the clarification of "Platinum" in there rewards.
I have reached the classification of "Platinum" with Callaway Preowned and just received my "Like New" Apex 21 DCB Irons. Once again NOT disappointed, the club were custom fitted and the entire staff (everyone is knowledgeable and cooperative) deserve KUDOS. Another purchase that went "Right" !!!

Awesome Combination of Distance and Forgiveness
Got fitted for the Apex DCB's with Tensei White 75g shafts and they are awesome! My dispersions are tighter than ever and I picked up 12 yards per iron (5-PW). Easy to hit and still very workable.

Overall feel and control
I purchased these irons after playing with Mizuno forged irons, I have played in soggy conditions, and clear overall the custom order to fit what I wanted came out perfectly to my designs, the feel, accurate and distance is great. I play right now once a week and have limited physical issues but I cannot complain about these irons!

The Callaway APEX 21 DCB are very nice clubs.
These clubs are responsive. When you hit the ball in the sweet spot the ball jumps off the club. However, when you do miss the sweet spot these clubs still produce ball flights you can be satisfied with generally. The design of the DCBs is progressive: the lower irons have larger soles and in the higher irons the club's soles are not that pronounced. Therefore, in your scoring… read more clubs, 9, PW & A irons you can be quite accurate when you hitting into the greens. Nice job Callaway! These are expensive clubs and the quality is there. As for durability, I have onlt had them for a month so time will tell. It took Callaway two times to get my order right. I ordered regular shafted clubs and the first order showed up with stiff shafts. Pretty disappointing to say the least.

I am a professional player but even I don't like to hit 4 and 5 irons. I play the Apex in my 6-8 iron and the Apex pro in my 9-GW. I ordered the DCB Apex in my 4 and 5 iron for the extra forgiveness and higher launch angle and they delivered. 7 woods are nice but they spin too much for me playing in the wind. I've never loved hybrids but I've seen them hit well so for me long irons… read more are still preferred and this particular model makes that a less scary choice.

I absolutely see a
I absolutely see a big difference between big bertha callaway irons and apex dcb irons. The distance is very evident as the apex dcb irons have increased 20 plus yards per iron. About the only thing I have an issue with, I tend to over draw the ball at times. Big bertha irons are more forgiving, but I prefer to make my apex dcb irons more fitting to my swing.
The scramblerApril 12, 2022
Very easy to get in the air. Very easy to hit low shots
The club has a nice look at set up. It is easy to square up to the ball. Nice feeling at the time of ball contact regardless if you’re hitting it off the ground or off of a tee. Has a nice penetrating flight. Very easy to hit low shots out of the trees and you are able to move the ball right to left or left or right.

Apex 21 DCB 6 iron...Not so much
I ordered this 6 iron, to compliment my Apex21 irons, 7 thru AW. Same specs, same shafts, same grip. It just feels "clunky" or dull compared to the Apex 21 irons. I really do not notice any real game improvement help. Probably just me... my swing... but it was not what I expected.
Stuart15March 27, 2022
Love the solid contact and distance even on slight mid-hits.
Even off center strikes yield acceptable distance and control. Wish they had a 3 iron available.

Quality control or grip shortage ?
Clubs were very pretty and shafted in up charge UST Shafts. However the 5 - AW came with woman’s or undersized Callaway logo Winn Dri Tec 2.0 grips ! I also ordered two Jaws wedges at the same time. Arrived I the same box. They had the correct mens Winn 2.0 DriTec grips. What gives ? Now I have to regrip 7 clubs!!!

Felt wonderful from the start
These high-quality forged irons feel delightful striking the ball. The feel is very solid with no vibration whatsoever. Since i have arthritis in my hands this was very important to me. An excellent iron set that feels smooth all the way through the swing and ball impact.
Buy them before they are gone! These irons have exceptional feel, smooth and soft ball impact feedback to the player. Customization from Callaway provides the customer with the ability to build the clubs to their specifications.

STICK WITH THE APEX
Played with the Apex 16's but was intrigued by these. Not nearly as smooth and WAY to 'loud' of an audible feedback even on well struck shots. The minimal yardage gain is not worth it for me. I will be returning my DCB's and ordering the standard apex.
GaryJanuary 20, 2022
Good club for seniors
Nice club for seniors who prefer iron over fairway woods
BobJanuary 13, 2022
Nice feel and easy to hit. High quality irons
My previous irons were the Apex CF-16's so it's been a fairly smooth transition to these DCB irons. Slight difference in feel and a little lower trajectory due to the stronger lofts in the DCB, but I haven't had any issues with stopping the ball. They are a little longer than my CF-16's, so it'll probably take me a while to dial that in until the weather warms up. Overall I'm… read more very happy and they are a bit more forgiving than my CF-16's.

Been playing Callaway irons for years, but first time with Forged. I'm just getting started with these, but very excited. You can feel the ball launching off the face, almost pulling it away. Getting plenty of loft and monitor showing a bit more distance and better dispersion. Can't wait to get on the course!

Worth every dollar
My high hopes for the Apex DCB’s are becoming fulfilled as I have put them in play for several rounds. The forgiveness on off center hits is quite noticeable as compared to my older Apex Pro’s. These are hands down the best clubs I’ve ever owned.
I ordered the Apex 21 DCB irons with graphite shafts. So needless to say they were very pricey. However, I absolutely love the way they feel, how easy they carry my Chrome Soft Truvus soccer ball style golf balls, and their flight pattern (good strike they are typically straight with lots of height). I also purchased the Super Hybrid which I am absolutely in love with! Unfortunately,… read more I returned my Epic Max-LS driver. Perhaps it’s my slow 90-93 mph swing speed, but it seems I lost approximately 20 yds of carry versus my Mavrik Max (which also left me wanting a little more distance). Hopefully, the 2022 Rogue will be a better fit for me and get me back to my Epic Flash distance. All-in-all, Callaway Apex DCB’s are the real deal.

I was playing with 15 year old Callaway Big Bertha irons and really had no reason to change. Except that my friends were telling me how much technology had changed. Great forged irons,

Well, it was an expensive upgrade, but I have to tell you the DCB added ~8-10 yards per iron.

These irons are outstanding. During the fifth round I played with these clubs I had a hole-in-one on 112 yard whole using the A wedge.
Outstanding irons. Great distance and accuracy. Quite pricey. Good looking clubs.

Soft feel great control
First set of forged irons I have ever bought. The difference in feel is unreal. Went from a set of Mavriks to DCB 4-6 iron. 7-PW Apex. Much more control, and unbelievable soft feel. First round low 80s on one of the tougher courses in the area.

I picked up golf again after a 20 year sabbatical and decided to buy all new equipment. I did months of research, hit every iron in this category, and did two club fittings to finally decide on the Apex DCBs. In hindsight, I wasted too much time. There is absolutely no comparison between Apex DCBs and the other irons when it comes to feel of the club due to the forged heads. I realized… read more this the first time I hit them but my mind thought “are they forgiving enough?”. This led me down a path of going back and forth between Apex DCBs, Taylor Made Sim2 and Sim2 Max, and Ping G425s. At the end of the day, I was splitting hairs between the forgiveness. If I had to give an edge to one of those clubs for forgiveness I would say the Sim2 Max is the most forgiving; however, it is a bit akin to swinging a shovel and lacks any feedback. With the Sim2 Max I am unconvinced that it helps foster a good golf game if even really horrible shots go relatively straight but the player is left with no knowledge of where the ball impacted and how to improve ones’ swing. The Pings were good but I could not get past the sound and dead feeling of the club on impact. The Apex DCBs are just a completely different animal. They feel good, sound good, and are plenty forgiving enough. My 4-PW, AW set are fitted with True Temper Dynamic Gold X100 Tour Issue shafts and Winn Dri-Tac grips and I could not be happier. I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 5,000 to 6,000 range balls under my belt with them and my game continues to improve in ways I didn’t think would be possible at this point in my golf journey. Callaway has a true gem with these clubs. I have zero regrets with my purchase and highly suggest Apex DCBs to anyone who may be looking for a fantastic set of irons.

Best of the Best for seniors
I have two full sets of irons from Tailormade and Cobra that I have just passed on to my grandchildren, each had been promoted as the best for senior golfers ( this one is 81 having enjoyed the game since I was 13) I am convinced the APEX 21 DCB is the best ever designed for us. The look the feel, the performance convinces me I need not purchase any other club!

When you hit the sweet spot, the ball goes where you want it
After improving my handicap from 35 to 15, I decided to trade-in my Mavrik irons for fitted 2021 Apex DCB irons and 48 degree AW. The biggest improvement to my golf game is laying it on the green with my 7-iron, 9-iron and AW due to better backspin with steeper descent. When I hit the sweet spot, my 5-iron punches it down the fairway into scoring position very well. The Apex DCB… read more irons feel smoother with superior launch and descent. Only downside is you need to consistently strike the ball well otherwise you will not enjoy your round of golf. The sweet spot is smaller therefore these are not for high handicap golfers.

Having played Callaway Big Bertha for many years I was fitted for a new set of Apex DCB irons. I have seen significant improvement in greens in regulation leading to lower scores. Love these irons!!
I’ve been playing golf for 40 years and have gone through many sets of clubs through the years. The Calloway APEX DCB’s are by far the best set of clubs I’ve ever played. The distance is crazy. I’m disappointed in the performance of the clubs
I was expecting to perform better, additional distance, forgiveness of centered hits and easier to play. Last year, I rented a set of epics blades in Chicago golf course. Apex DCB Over Delivers
These are labeled in Golf Digest as a game improvement iron which indicates they are more for high handicappers and beginners. I am 58 years old and a lifetime 5-10 handicap and these irons make me feel like I am 30 years old again. Smooth feel, strong launch and superb irons to help lay it on the green
I recently traded-in my Mavrik 5, 7, 9 & PW for the 2021 Apex DCB 5, 7, 9 & AW which resulted in smoother feeling with greater launch power and improved laying it on the greens. I am impressed with my Apex DCB irons which have improved my scores.

The Apex 21 DCB Irons are great for my game! Great distance, feel, forgiveness are just what I need, but yes they’re a bit pricey. Traded in my B21’s ,which were great, after a year because I liked these that much more.

Love the look and feel.
I Got fitted and these were far and away the best head for me so I went to callaway online and ordered them to my specs. After a short wait the clubs arrived and I unboxed them. I am happy to say the look and feel of these clubs check all the boxes for me. I’m 62 years old and have only played for about 10 years now so my swing is still under construction. I’ve learned age… read more can steal some swing speed so I was fitted with a lighter weight graphite shaft this time and it has seemed to help. Was it luck…yes , but now I feel like I can actually aim for a flag instead of hoping to just hit the green. All in all I would recommend theses clubs to anyone. Great irons make me feel ten years younger
I purchased these irons this spring. I’m a previous callaway iron player (x18 20 years ago). Due to five spine surgeries and big loss of distance and swing speed I was looking for game improvement iron even though I was a 7 handicap. I'll start off by saying that I'm not a "New Club" kind of guy. For whatever reason, new clubs never really interested me because each year after testing the new models I walked away feeling like I was getting the same performance from my old set that is until I came across Callaway's new Apex 21 DCB's. I can truthfully say this was the only club I tested that had the "Wow" factor.… read more In fact, that's exactly what I said after the first swing and I immediately knew these were going in my bag. The club's interaction with the ground along with the ball contact and flight I find to be simply amazing. As a side note, my very first swing with these clubs resulted in an eagle from a fairway bunker from about 110 yds out. After I retrieved the ball from the cup I proudly announced that I was not sending these clubs back. My buddies all laughed but they also started asking questions and asking if they could swing them. All that confirmed that I made the right choice.

If you like the Rogues, you’ll love the Apex DCB
I purchased the Rogue irons in 2018. They were the best irons I had purchased up to that point. As a 14 index golfer, the irons were/are the most consistent part of my game. However, the Mavrik lofts are so much different, and after 25 rounds, I could not get comfortable. I just sold back my Mavrik’s for a credit and purchased the Apex DCB’s. So Far Very Pleased
I have been playing with cheap ill-fitting irons since my Callaway Hawkeyes were pinched from my garage about 10 years ago and the last couple of years have played very little. During that time I have ballooned from a 12 index to about a 17. This year I decided to make an effort to get back into golf, repair my ugly swing flaws and buy some good irons. I did a lot of research and… read more hit about 400 balls over a weekend with the Apex 21 DCB and similar offerings from other OEMs. I loved the looks of the DCB and slowly realized they were best for me. I ordered them 1 1/2 inch short and 2 degrees flat from Callwaygolf (5 - A plus 4 H/graphite) and they arrived in about 2 weeks when others were quoting a month or more. Went right to the range and it took about a half bucket to dial in the change in length and lie and then loved the feel and sound when I started hitting it in the center. Have played several times and more importantly, am swinging them daily and going to the range regularly. I'm loving golf again. I highly recommend the DCBs to mid- and high-handicappers. They look like a players club but forgiving, and are smaller and thinner than the typical game improvement club. Proud to have them in my bag.
